This bright new day
intercepts my mood
blinds my eye
breaks my soul

for I am easily broken
blinded and caught

This roving kiss
heats my blood
takes my breath
licks my skin

for I am easily lost
warmed and feathered

Your gentle heart
fills my echo
soothes my soul
tastes my tears

for I am easily broken
lost and yours.
