A Gap In The Clouds

The dragon within us all
waits in heated remembrances
for us to call upon
when, in the winter of our times
we feel the need for a little warmth
a little protection
a little fire to harden the clay of resistance
against the ever-growing fear
of apprehension
and the anticipation of what is before us
